SPEAKER EVENT- DR. MIKE MCCLENAHAN, DVM

Dr. Mike McClenahan graduated from Iowa State University School of Veterinary Medicine, where he obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. He currently practices veterinary medicine as an associate veterinarian at Studio City Animal Hospital in Los Angeles. He was previously a technical services veterinarian at Bayer Animal Health, where he spoke at multiple veterinary schools on the topics of parasitology, microbiology, healthcare communication, and zoonotic diseases. He is the creator and host of the YouTube channel "The Bow Tie Vet Guy", and has performed stand up comedy at the world famous Comedy Store, The Ice House, and many other venues. Dr. Mike will be at Pierce College to speak on the topic of zoonotic diseases. Join us for what may very well be the best talk in the entirety of human history!

STEM NIGHT

SPEAKER EVENT- DR. NILOFAR NAJAFIAN, MD

Nilofar Najafian is a current resident physician at Yale University, who obtained her medical doctor degree at Stony Brook University School of Medicine in Conneticut, with a focus on internal medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies at UCLA and is an LA Pierce College alumnus. She has published a research paper titled "Bariatric surgery and Hepatocellular Carcinoma: a Propensity Score-Matched Analysis". She will be speaking on the topic of Immunology and the Immune system and has come to share her story of her fascinating journey to medical school. Please join us for this exciting event!
